Prohibition
Prohibition is the law that states that alcohol cannot be made,sold, or transported. People thought that eliminating alcohol would reduce drunknness and abuse and accidents. Some people that supplied alcohol iliegaly were called Bootleggers and bars were called speakeasies.
Religion
Fundamentalism is a set of christian belifes saying that the bible is literally true. Fundamentalism is the theory of evolution. In 1925 a teacher named John Scopes, was put into trial for teaching evolution. The trial was called the "Monkey" or the "trial of the century". Scopes was fined $100.
Race
Durning this time period there was a great migration of african americans that came up from the south and headed to the north. In the summer of 1919 there was riots in 25 major cities that was called the "Red summer".
